TOURISM AT IGUAZU WATERFALLS -BRASIL
Few months ago I
was at “Foz de Iguaçu,
which is located in Brazil, Parana State. It has a population of 256 081
inhabitants, a surface of 61 770 hectares and it has a wet subtropical climate.
One important fact is that his economic activity is basically “Tourism and
commerce”: 90% of the population works in something related to sustainable
tourism. Also, I was impressed with the fact that there was not any industrial
activity and and with an ecological way of transport.
At “Foz do Iguaçu” you can meet different
places like “El Parque de las Aves”, “Museo de Cera”, “Museo de dinosaurios”,
“Icebar” and of course the famous “Iguazu Waterfalls”.
These waterfalls are a
collection of waterfalls located over Iguaçu River, in the border between the
Argentinean province of “Misiones” and the Brazilian State of Parana. All of
those places are categorized as “Natural Protected Areas”, because those areas
have different types of species of wild flora and fauna: Source of conservation
of the biodiversity and a “Green lung” of our planet.
Within those “Natural
Protected Areas”, the Argentinean sector and the Brazilian sectors are inside
the National Park of Iguaçu. It was chosen as one of the Seven Natural Wonders
of the world.
If you like the adventure and
keep in contact with the nature, you have to visit Iguaçu.
